Giuseppe Rossi would he be a short term signing
This player is without a club and is currently training with man utd, 31 years old has played for italy, but spent 2 years under pellegrini at villareal, pellegrini knows the player well, could he be a stop gap signing for us if arnie goes ?

I would like to think we’ve moved on from this type of signing with the current manager, not sure about Sullivan and I guess a few on here... leopards and all that.

Doesn't score many these days...even when fit...

He is the same or better than Perez if fit

He had a horrible knee injury that was believed to be career ending. Not sure that's worth a punt.

The problem with not getting a replacement for Arnie is that we're revealing to our better players that we're not ambitious. We're just happy to amble along and wait for next year.

Probably not. We look to be safe now (famous last words) so unless we are going to sign someone we think can push us on to Europe or a cup win it's really not worth getting anyone in.

Grumpster

Pepe looks like a potential premier league star.
He would be a super signing.

Whatever we want, whatever we need, we pay our money we take our chance whatever we win, whatever we lose.

Rossi is an ex player.
Totally unreliable, he his prone to injury even more than Andy Carroll.

Do we need a short term signing?

Already Have Hernandez, Carroll and Perez as cover in that position.

A player like Rossi will just prevent more playing time for someone like Xande Silva.

"If Arnie goes then splash the cash on someone like Pepe from Lilles."

Nevermind Pepe from Lille. If all were aiming for is Rossi, we may as well sign Pepe Le Pew!

They'd both stink the place out, but at least PLP wouldn't cost a lot in wages.

Or Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo

The bloke has been utter shit for a few years now after a bad injury.

Would be completely pointless and time that we moved on from such signings.

If Arnie goes then splash the cash on someone like Pepe from Lilles.

Rossi's knees are more shot than Paulo Futre's were when we signed him.

At least Paulo was one of the most skillful players of all time but Rossi like Michael Owen relied entirely on his youth and pace - which has long passed

I remember being in the gym one day, and the current Leyton Orient goalkeeper at the time, Alex Legzdins was his name, was in there (he was dressed in LO training gear, that was how I realised he played for them).

Anyway, I started up a conversation with him, and asked who was the best player he'd ever played against - his answer was, you guessed it - Ronaldo!

Not really, it was the one and only Giuseppe Rossi!

Should we sign GS?

Er, no thanks.

Was very good years ago at Villerreal but had massive injury probs for years. Not sure we'd get enough games out of him

Re: Giuseppe Rossi would he be a short term signing
thats all i meant as short term signing , the one id like us to break the bank for is gabriel barbosa, banging in the goals in brazil, he is 22 but an inter player, scored 18 for santos last year, but has just been loaned to flamengo.
